Streaming Localization

Localizing logos and artwork for TV shows and movies on global streaming sites like Netflix into both traditional and simplified Chinese. Delivering localization that preserve the original visual DNA while optimizing for cultural nuance and readability.

Gaming localization

Creating Chinese adapted logos, key art and Steam capsules that feel native to the Chinese market. Experienced working within the specific dimensions and visual requirements of the Steam platform.

A primary challenge in Chinese title localization is balancing strict brand fidelity with typographic legibility. When adapting the logo for the game "Cardmare", the original logo utilized a large-scale pixel grid. Because Chinese character strokes are structurally denser, applying that exact grid scale rendered the translation illegible. To solve this, I strategically scaled down the pixel grid for the Chinese adaptation—preserving the original game's visual texture while keeping the typography crisp and readable.
